The Mepal Community Led Plan (CLP) is a vision for how the community wants to develop and an identification of the action needed to achieve this.
The CLP is fully supported and funded by Mepal Parish Council.
The CLP Steering Group is made up of volunteer residents who are keen to make Mepal better for the future.
Launch Event October 2017
It all started with a launch event held in October 2017 which was attended by a number of residents who were keen to get involved in having a say in the future of Mepal.
A Steering Group was formed beginning of 2018.
Chairman - Mr Roger Taylor
Secretary - Mrs Georgina King
What should be included in the CLP?
It became evident at the launch event that an immediate area of concern was the junction at the A142 and speeding on that stretch of road. Other traffic concerns within the village were speeding, parking and driving the wrong way along the one-way street.
The CLP Steering Group put together a Traffic Questionnaire which was distributed late March 2018.

The results of the Traffic Questionnaire are now available here
All the results, responses and comments have been passed to Mepal Parish Council for discussion and agreed actions.
Other areas of concerns raised were future housing developments, village maintenance, village facilities, recreation, dog walking, new and existing social groups and opportunities at bringing the community closer together. These will be taken forward for the main questionnaire.
The Mepal CLP Questionnaire
The CLP Questionnaire was distributed to all residents in Autumn 2018.
Come along to the next event to look at the displays, meet new people and put your name down for the things you are interested in being involved in.
