Mepal Parish Council
Mepal Parish Council has been in existence since 1895 and has 7 Councillors. They are elected for a four-year term, the next election being in May 2011. Should a vacancy arise during the term of office then a co-option may occur. All Councillors serve the community on a voluntary basis. Mepal Parish Council currently has one employee who is the Clerk to the Council.
Mepal Parish Council meets on the second Monday of every month at 19:30 in Mepal Village Hall. Meetings are not held during August and December.
In addition, an Annual Parish Assembly is held during May.
Agendas for all meetings are published in the week preceding the meeting and are posted on both the website and the Parish Council notice board in the High Street.
