Mepal Village Hall is situated in the centre of the village. It is a historic building which used to be the village school.

The Mepal Community Pavilion
Opened in July 2007, the Community Pavilion provides a picturesque setting on Mepal’s beautiful Recreation Field to meet a multitude of needs.
This modern building, with its well-stocked kitchen and Function Room opening out onto the Recreation Field, has been used for meetings, photography sessions, coffee mornings, fundraising events, birthday parties, Christenings, and even a Wedding! The village’s Senior and Junior Football teams benefit from one of the best facilities in the county – a great advert for Mepal! The Community Pavilion is also home to The Friendship Club and the local cycling club.
Because of its situation on the recreation field and proximity to Mepal’s excellent new Children’s Play Area, the Pavilion is the ideal choice for children’s birthday parties and family get-togethers. But it is as the base for the big village events held on the recreation field such as 2010’s Showcasing Mepal, The Mepal Mile or the Mepal Fun Days, that makes the Pavilion such an important community building.
The Pavilion is run on behalf of the Parish Council by a registered charity, The Mepal Sports Action Group – known as MeSsAGe. If you would like to know more about joining MeSsAGe to either help with the building, with the village get-togethers, to promote new sports to the village or if you are interested in the history of the Pavilion itself, please contact the Secretary, Georgina King on 01353 777112.
