In May 2007 the Parish Council agreed to help fund the production of a Parish Plan which would last until the year 2012. All the Village Clubs and Associations were contacted to ask for volunteers to help with the process.
From this the Mepal Parish Plan Group was formed and the first meeting was held in the Village Hall in June 2007.
The first step was to produce a questionnaire relevant to our village life. This proved to be more difficult than first thought. As the monthly meetings progressed with long discussions as to the relevance of each question, it was not until the end of the October meeting when all the questions had been agreed.
By the end of November a printed questionnaire was ready for delivery. In the first week of December each household received a copy and a number of volunteers collected the completed forms in the weeks running up to Christmas. A total of 410 questionnaires were delivered and 221 returned duly completed giving the views of 422 people. This represents a very respectable return of 54%.
These questionnaires have now been analysed and the results are included in this document. If you would like to see the full response please contact the Clerk to the Parish Council.
Thanks to all those that took time to complete the questionnaire. Your views could help the way the Village moves forward in the future.Mepal_Parish_Plan 2008 - 2012
